A quiet prayer.

Pam

You can’t control the length of your life.  Just the DEPTH

“And I spoke sweeter”

You have the power to change someone’s life,
To give a moment that will be cherished forever,
Deeper than deep, higher than high,
A simple honest act can bring meaning and depth and poetry,
To someone who needs it more than they know,
Your honest words say you care about…
your FRIEND, your FAMILY, your LOVER, your SAVIOR.
Your honest words say you cherish them, that you are better because of them, and that you would be lesser without them.

So just say it now.  Don’t wait.  You’ve waited long enough.

I found out some sad news a couple of days ago about an amazing woman.  She is a mother, a savvy business leader, a wife, sister, cousin, mentor, and personal cheerleader.  She’s strong and feisty, but caring and exudes love and passion in all things.  I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know her over the years, and although our visits were numbered, she made an impact.  Her influence has rubbed off not only on me, but on some of the people I care about most.

Pam has been fighting that icky thing we call cancer for several years now.  I’ve admired her strength and attitude through the whole thing.  So many days she kicked its ass and took names.  She wasted no time complaining and instead spent every day living with intent. I think the thing I love most about Pam is the tight knit family her and her husband have created.  So many times I’ve witnessed her unconditional love, strength and loyalty to her sons, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren and friends.

Yes, Pam is an incredible woman.  I’m happy to know her.  She’s touched my life and so many others.

Pam, I love you.  I pray for peace of mind, and a safe journey to your next destination.  Until we meet again…

Family

May you live with passion and purpose and mission and meaning…
and with a little wild abandon.  With no forgiveness withheld and no anger held within.
