* Last year Tim and I celebrated 8 weddings, including our own. I want to spend some time showcasing our amazing friends and beautiful couples.
Let’s start with Mal and Nick.
July 3, 2010, my best friend Mallory married her long time love, Nick. It was a beautiful day filled with love and excitement.
Meet Mal and Nick. They have been dating for almost 9 years and have made it through thick and thin. They compliment each other in every which way and work hard to keep their relationship the strongest it can be.
Erik Yerke, their wedding photographer did an amazing job capturing this beautiful day. Mallory has told me nothing but great things about Erik and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. He makes sure he gets to know his clients well and captures the beauty of all the important little details. For more on Erik, click here.
Here are some of my favorite details and moments from Mal and Nick’s wedding weekend.
The rehearsal. Practice makes perfect. Here Mal and I are posing for a quick picture before the happy chaos begins.
Time for hair and make-up. We had these delicious breakfast treats filled with fresh fruit. What a great way to start our mornings.
For a personal touch, Mal arranged for us to get our hair done at Nick’s aunt’s salon. The place was closed except for us which made for the perfect morning of girl talk and primping.
Glamour. Mal’s sister Erin helps with the final make-up touches.
The perfect dress. Mal chose a vintage feel with her wedding theme. Her gown pulled this together perfectly. From the collar and small beading on the front to the perfect line of buttons down the back, this dress screams elegance. It’s very important to Mal that she is original and unique, and she was chic from head to toe.
Nick wrote a sweet hand-written letter for Mal, which she read right before she went to see him.
The big unveil. Mal and Nick see each other for the first time and have a private moment before the wedding party and family arrives.
These pictures are absolutely stunning and the ceremony was perfect.
We had a great time on our way to the reception. We stopped at a wine vineyard to have a toast and take some pictures.
The beautiful reception was held at Bella Salla Reception and Banquet Facility. What a perfect place for a wedding. It’s a brand new hall with beautiful decor on the inside and out. Mallory did a great job with all the personal details from hand written escort cards to personal cakes on each table.
Speeches by myself, Mal’s sisters and Nick’s brothers made for a few laughs and emotional moments.
The night was filled with lots of dancing!
The night ended with sparklers. What a fun thing for your guests to do outside on a perfect summer night.
Congratulations again to Mal and Nick! I have loved watching you grow over the years. I can’t wait to see where you go from here and I wish you all of the happiness in the world.
