Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Tim's grandma Kathryn has the best chocolate chip cookies recipe. I got my hands on this recipe while I was on maternity leave after she sent some in the mail to us. I'm not sure if it's the amount of butter or the ginormous amount of chocolate chips - whatever it is, these are my favorite.

Grandma's Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 C. butter, softened

  • 3/4 C. packed brown sugar

  • 3/4 C. white sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 2 1/2 C. flour

  • 1 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp. salt

  • 1 C. chopped walnuts

  • 18 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter and sugars. Stir egg in. In separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly combine flour mixture into sugar mix. Stir in nuts and mix.

Drop 1 Tbsp. dough on lined baking pan. I use small cookie scoop. Bake for 8-10 minutes until light brown. Center will be soft and delicious.

Enjoy!
