January in Iowa - get us out of here! We loaded up the kids and headed to Orlando, Florida for a fun family vacation in the sun. We stayed at a beautiful Hilton resort, had a magical day at Disney, relaxed by the pool and explored Sea World. We love having the opportunity to get away and enjoy quality time with family.
The kids did amazing on the way over. Everyone survived the flight from Kansas City. I was thankful for an easy journey. You never know with little ones - and these two rocked it!
Pool, playground, turtles, sunshine. We took advantage of all the hotel amenities. I especially loved the 3 p.m. Ice Cream happy hour. We didn't have the warmest of weather, but that didn't stop us from exploring and having fun!
Disney World
We weren't sure if we were going to do Disney, World but I'm so glad we did! Our good friends Tiffany and Dave work for Disney and they were so generous to get us in to the parks for the day. We hit up EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. We had a magical day filled with family fun. So thankful we could catch up with friends too!
Theo's favorite part of the day was the one and only ride we did: Tomorrowland Speedway. We waited 45-minutes for a 2-minute ride but it was totally worth it to see Theo's joy! Plus - we WON!
Sea World
It was a quiet day at Sea World. It seems like we had most of the park to ourselves, which was so nice! Theo and Madeleine loved Sesame Street World - we did all the rides, M had her first train ride and we met some of our favorite furry friends.
We decided to take a trip down Infinity Falls. The ride was fun - but being soaking wet on a chilly day was not. Oh well - the after affects was worth it!
I'm so thankful for this trip! I'm glad we can give our children these amazing experiences. Until next time!
